Jeff Wertkin, J.D., Ph.D.
I have over fifteen years of experience in private law firms and in the public sector. I started my career at an AmLaw100 firm, where I handled all aspects of civil litigation cases. Later, I honed my project management, writing and oral advocacy skills by serving as first-chair in complex civil litigation trials.

In addition to earning my law degree from Georgetown Law Center in 2002, I completed my dissertation and earned a Ph.D. from Georgetown University’s Government Department in 2008. I am an expert researcher, and I've learned how to harness the power of social science metrics and statistical analysis to explain complex policy issues.

I have learned more from my mistakes than from my successes. I believe in second chances and that nobody is defined by the worst thing they have done.
